It is essential to review this policy thoroughly before securing a reservation. By reserving a rental with CommonsHarborside, you are indicating your consent to these refund conditions.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
Over 72 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualifies for: Entire refund excluding operational costs
Refund Interval: Typically 5-7 working days
Operational Cost: €50 for card transactions
Prerequisites: Cancellation must be submitted in writing by email or telephone
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Qualifies for: Half of the entire charter fee
Refund Interval: Generally 7-10 working days
Operational Cost: €25 subtracted from the reimbursement amount
Prerequisites: A valid rationale is necessary; administrative charges are applicable
Less than 24 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualifies for: Reimbursement not available
Exception: Emergency cases may be taken into account
Alternate: Credit for future charter could be given as per management's judgement
Prerequisites: Verification needed for emergency scenarios
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Guarantee
Your safety is our foremost concern. Should the conditions be deemed precarious for sailing by our certified captain, we provide adaptable solutions:
- Entire Refund: An entire refund if rescheduling is not an option
- Change of Date: Alter your booking to an alternate free date at no extra fee
- Charter Credit: Attain a credit that is valid for a year from the date of the original booking
Weather Evaluation Procedure
Weather conditions are assessed by looking at:
- Assessment of wind speed and trajectory
- Evaluation of sea conditions and wave sizes
- Predictions of visibility and rainfall
- Notices and warnings from the Coast Guard
- Assessment of safety by the captain
Decision Period: Calls regarding weather cancellations are made no later than 4 hours before the planned departure time.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Extraordinary Situations
We are sympathetic to the fact that emergencies can occur. These instances may qualify for unique considerations:
- Unexpected sickness or injury needing hospital attention
- Loss of an immediate family member
- Military deployment or urgent recall
- Jury duty or being subpoenaed to court
- Nature-related catastrophes impacting travel
Verification Required
For processing emergency repayment requests, the following documents are needed:
- A note from a medical professional or hospital records
- Certificate of passing (if relevant)
- Orders from the military services
- Official subpoena or jury notices
- Emergency declarations or travel cautions
Execution: Emergency reimbursements are completed in 3-5 business days following the submission of necessary proof.
Operational Cancellations
Technical Failures
In case the assigned yacht has irreparable issues:
- Alternate Yacht: We'll endeavor to offer a similar alternative
- Entire Refund: In case no appropriate yacht is available
- Adjusted Refund: Should the alternative yacht have different rates
- Compensation: Additional redress may be given for the trouble caused
Lack of Available Crew
On the off chance that our licensed crew isn't available:
- Efforts will be made to find a substitute crew
- Full repayment if the trip is unable to happen
- Option to reschedule without extra charges
Refund Processing
Repayment Method
Reimbursements are issued back to the original mode of payment:
- Cards: Typically within 5-7 business days
- Bank Wires: Potentially within 7-10 business days
- Cash or Check: Normally processed in 3-5 days

€50 charge for cancellations more than three days prior
Bank Wire Transaction Fees
€25 charge for all reimbursements via bank wire
International Transactions
Extra fees may apply for international bank transfers
Charter Credits
Issuance Circumstances
In certain cases, as opposed to refunds, charter credits are offered:
- Cancellations with short notice (under 24 hours)
- Cancellations caused by weather
- Voluntary requests to reschedule
- Unforeseen operational issues
Terms for Credits
- Validity Duration: Valid for a year from the issue date
- Non-transferable: Cannot be transferred to others
- Value: Equal to the overall value of the charter without fees
- Application: Usable towards any future charter appointments
- Expiry: Extensions past 12 months not permitted
Partial Service Refunds
Disruptions During Service
If the yacht rental is impacted or truncated for reasons we control:
- Refund proportionate to the segment not used
- Credit towards an equal value future yacht rental
- Free upgrades or other complimentary services
Issues Related to Guests
If a rental is brought to an early end due to guests' behavior or failure to adhere to safety norms:
- No reimbursement for the segment not used
- Full fee remains applicable
- Possible additional costs
Dispute Resolution
If you are not in agreement with a refund judgement, the following steps are available:
- Appeal for a second review by our management
- Supply extra evidence or documents
- Seek assistance through consumer rights organizations
- Legal recourse consistent with the prevailing law

We will acknowledge receipt of your request within a day, examine it against our policies, communicate our decision within two days, and proceed with approved reimbursements appropriately timed as outlined.
Crucial Points
- All reimbursement requests need to be made in written form
- Refunds finalized in € irrespective of the original transaction currency
- We highly suggest obtaining travel insurance
- This policy may evolve with an advance notice of 30 days
- Refunds are provided following the applicable tax laws and rules
